Our standalone harnesses aren't just for the MK1 Chassis. You can install VW motors in virtually any car. Honda, Toyota, Lawn mowers, Ferrari, Rabbit ,MK2 Scirocco AND MORE! Fabrication of course is always required for the engine mounts but the wiring is simple.

Harness's come bare unless the option of wrapping is chosen. We wrap our harnesses in cloth friction free tape. All our plug and play standalone engine harnesses come standard with battery leads, relay holders, and self terminated relays; this means no butt connectors and solder joints. Relays are extended so they can be positioned next to the Main ECU connector so it stays dry. OBD2 data link connector (when applicable) and Always OEM Bosch hardware only!
The Eurowise difference!
The same good stuff from Germany. We also offer them to be wrapped in Raychem motorsport heat shrink. This is the expensive stuff that you see in F1 cars.
Contact us if you are looking for a full blown Mil-spec harness. We offer these services too!

These are some of harnesses we make, if you don't see it listed just send us an email! info@eurowise.com

-3.6 VR6
-5 Cylinder

- Using the factory twist lock connector the harness plugs into and the rest is cake walk!
- Harness will work on any make or model as long as used on OBD1 / OBD2 VR6 motors
- OEM friction tape wrapped (optional)
- OEM connectors
- OBD 2 Diagnostic Connector Wired in (OBD 2 only)

We stock most harnesses but if you have your donor motor harness than that saves you money!
Ship us your good un-cut harness.

The average turn around time is 2-3 weeks once we receive your core harness. If you do not have a core harness to send in we can not provide an approximate build time due to fact we will need to source a core harness for you. Please be patient and feel confident that we will finish your harness as fast as we possibly can!

Q: I have purchased your mk1 VR6 swap an have successfully installed a 97 VR6 in my 82 caddy. Now comes the difficult part, the wiring. I know you offer a plug and play wiring harness and I want one. I have a few questions though, Do you first need my harness to build it or do you have harnesses in stock?

A: A core will need to be mailed into the shop to have the harness modification completed. Unfortunately these harnesses have become hard to come by, and we do not have any modified harnesses in stock. *** DO NOT ORDER IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CORE TO SUPPLY. ***

Q: All of the secondary air components have been removed, does the harness also have the wiring removed for these components?

A: Yes the harness is for a deleted emissions system

Q: I am using all vdo gauges does your harness supply me with a tach signal and speed signal?

A: Speed signal you will have to obtain the correct cable for the transmission which is separate from the engine harness. The tach signal is a little more tricky. It requires a converter to get the tach signal from a 4 cyl - 6 cylinder to work properly. We don’t have a solution currently for this

Q: Do i need to send in the OEM fuse box?

A: No it does not use factory fuse box so you do not need to ship us the entire fuse box.

All mk4 1.8t/tdi/VR6 or cars with drive by wire throttle pedal we need the harness that goes to the pedal. If we don't receive in the core return we will charge an additional $25+ for the parts needed to build your harness.

Other Important Info:

Always send both sides of the ecu harness.

A mk3 harness will only have one plug so the connector from the ecu to the large round twist lock connector is all we need. We do not need the harness from the Male side of the twist connector on ABA and VR6 MK3 style harnesses. On mk4 we also need both sides of the ecu. The left side is typically the engine side and the right side is fuse box / o2 sensor / throttle pedal side. We cannot accept just the left side of the ecu. If you do not have both sides we can always source but that is an additional fee.

As a core isn't required. We highly recommend you provide the one that matches the ecu and motor you are swapping. This simplifies the process of looking for a known good harness on our end which sometimes can add 2-4 weeks to the harness construction process.

We require the entire wiring harness from ecu to fuse box only. In later models like mk5 r32 the engine body harness and engine harness is all integrated. We need the ecu connectors with the wires coming out of both sides of the ecu. Along with the wires going to the throttle pedal as well.

If you have an mk4 and have not removed the immobilizer from the ecu. This blocks the ecu from starting when the key/ignition cylinder/ instrument cluster/ ecu is not all simultaneously recognized. We offer this service for $150 so please add these to the notes when you fill out the form online so we can perform the operation. It will not start without an immobilizer deleted. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before using harness ensure motor has a quality ground and that starter operation is good. If a bad engine ground is present the harness will act as a ground and MELT the chassis/engine ground circuit in the harness. Before putting any of the harness in simply "crank" the engine and make sure it cranks "normal"

When hooking both harness battery leads up be sure to fuse the leads AT the BATTERY with 30 amp fuses for safety of harness and car in case of chaffing or shorts.

Above and Beyond Expectations May 27, 2018
Reviewer: Hunter Amundsen from PETALUMA, CA United States
The guys at eurowise continue to go the extra mile with every order I place, and their custom harness work is no exception. The whole process, from me shipping them my core all the way from California, to them sending the finished product back, took half the time I had imagined. And they even mended my "cut in half" harness. I'm very pleased with the finished product and excellent service, and I'll continue to use them for all my VW needs.  Can't wait to install the harness! Thanks guys

Wiring harness August 10, 2017
Reviewer: jeffrey mendillo from Hermitage, PA United States
The  wiring harness I received works good and as described.  my criticism is with  the relay base
it  doesn't  come with tabs or mounting hardware .    How do I mount it?     Another complaint I have is I've sent a core wiring harness to eurowise.   I don't know the status of my core refund.   Did you receive my core?   Is my core acceptable?       I think  eurowise makes  some great products.  I look forward to doing business with them in the future.    Thanks.   Jeff.
