Upgrade your build with the powerful 24V VR6 engine conversion, compatible with drivetrains from the R32, Passat, and even Touareg. Hand-built in-house at Eurowise in the USA, this kit allows for a seamless installation without the need for cutting, grinding, or welding, preserving your vehicle’s integrity and engine bay.

Each kit is meticulously crafted from high-quality mild steel and TIG-welded for maximum strength and longevity. Designed to be completely reversible, our VR6 conversion makes it easy to restore your vehicle to its original configuration if desired. This version includes everything from the Stage 1 kit, plus a front support bar for added stability.

Note for Right-Hand Drive Vehicles:
Please advise if your vehicle is right-hand drive, as our adapter will not be compatible. A hydraulic clutch conversion will be required for these setups.

Important Notes for Installation

Transmission Compatibility

This mount kit is specifically designed for use with 02A 5-speed and 02J 5-speed VR6 transmissions only.

3.6L Engine Compatibility

Engines with a 3.6L displacement have a different rear block mounting surface. Please ensure you select the correct kit (SKU: EW1075) when purchasing for these engines.

Additional Considerations When Swapping

1. Reverse Switch Interference with 02J Transmissions

   • If using an 02J transmission with our manual cable conversion, you may experience interference with the reverse switch.
   • Solution: When using the 02J shifter tower or transmission, cut off the mounting flange for the reverse switch to eliminate the interference.

2. Axle Flange Compatibility with Late-Model 02J Transmissions

   • Late-model 02J transmissions (e.g., 1.8T and VR6) feature 108mm axle flanges, which are incompatible with our axles.
   • Solution: Replace the axle flanges using these part numbers:
     • Qty 2: 02A-409-355D
     • Qty 2: 02J-409-359

MK1 Vehicles Older Than 1981

If your MK1 was manufactured before 1981, you may require 2 shims to prevent axle rubbing inside the spindle housing.

• The shims, included in the kit, should be placed between the outer CV joint and the inner wheel bearing for proper clearance.
