AAA VR6 Swap Wiring Harness
Brand new. No core. Ready to install.
We now stock brand-new AAA VR6 swap harnesses, eliminating the need for core returns or downtime. Simply order, and we’ll ship you a freshly built, fully tested harness—ready to install.
If this makes your life easier, don’t be alarmed—that’s exactly what it’s designed to do.
Built for Maximum Swap Flexibility
With fuses and relays integrated directly into the harness, there’s no external fuse box required. This allows you to run a VW AAA VR6 engine in virtually any chassis—Honda, Toyota, Rabbit, Scirocco, off-road builds, track cars, or anything else you can imagine.
Fabrication is still required for engine mounts (as always), but we’ve removed the wiring complexity entirely.
⚠️ This harness is designed to work with your factory VW ECU.
It is not a standalone ECU wiring harness.
Key Features & Design Advantages
- No core charge – brand-new harnesses in stock and ready to ship
- Integrated fuse and relay system – clean, simple installation
-
MAF sensor and rear knock sensor leads extended to the engine side
(OEM harnesses locate these near the ECU, making routing more difficult) - ECU-controlled fuel pump relay for OEM functionality and safety
- Fused battery leads to protect against component failure
- OEM connectors throughout for plug-and-play reliability
- OBD diagnostic connector built in
Simple Startup Wiring
Only five connections are required to get your engine running:
- Power
- Ground
- Fuel pump positive lead
- Switched 12V “ignition on” trigger
- Starter signal lead
(OBD2 – AAA VR6 engines only)
Quality You Can Trust
- No wait times – these harnesses are stocked and ready to ship
- No core required
- Every harness is bench-tested in-house prior to shipping to ensure proper operation
⚠️ Please note: If your engine or related hardware has existing mechanical issues (timing, cam/crank sensors, ignition system, etc.), diagnosing those issues after installation may be difficult. Always verify the engine runs properly before installing the harness.
IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTES
-
Verify engine grounds and starter operation before installation.
A poor engine ground can cause the harness to act as a ground path, which may result in melted ground circuits within the harness. - Before installing the harness, crank the engine and confirm it cranks normally.
- When connecting both battery leads, install 30-amp fuses at the battery to protect the harness and vehicle in the event of chafing or short circuits.
Intended Use
These are condensed swap harnesses, utilizing only the components required to run the engine.
For OFF-ROAD use only.
Simple. Clean. Proven.
The AAA VR6 swap harness—done right, the first time.
